During June 1-3, 2026, ASE's Delegation, comprising PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International relations, PhD Prof. Claudiu Herteliu, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics, and PhD Prof. Tudorel Andrei, Director of the National Institute of Statistics, paid an academic visit to the Toulouse School of Economics, Toulouse School of Management and Universite Toulouse Capitole, with the aim of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the partner institutions.

A highlight of the visit was the meeting with Professor Jean Tirole, Nobel Prize Laureate in Economic Sciences and Doctor Honoris Causa of ASE. Discussions focused on cooperation opportunities between ASE and Toulouse School of Economics in the fields of research, education and international academic exchange.

The program of the visit also included working meetings at Toulouse School of Management, and Universite Toulouse Capitole - with President, Prof. Hugues Kenfack. Novelty for Romanian economic education: The Bucharest University of Economic Studies obtains, through its Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ), the first accreditation of a business faculty in Romania, granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), one of the most prestigious international bodies in the field of management education. The EFMD Accreditation is granted for the following study programs organized by FABIZ: the Bachelor's programs in Business Administration (taught in English, French, and German) and the Master of Business Strategy and Leadership.
The EFMD Accreditation reflects the quality of the curriculum, teaching staff, research activities undertaken by each program, as well as cooperation with the business environment, student experience, and the impact on the careers of graduates. On May 27 - 28, 2026, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) participated in the academic dissemination and strategic dialogue workshop on the topic of "Research Networks and Resilient Business Models: Common Perspectives between Romania and the Republic of Moldova in a European Context", organized at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), in Chisinau. The event brought together representatives of the academic and research environment from the two universities, along with experts and representatives of the socio-economic environment, with the objective of capitalizing on the results of joint projects and developing new areas of collaboration in the field of research and innovation.

On May 19, 2026, ASE's Faculty of International Business and Economics organized the first edition of the Brazil-Romania Forum on Creative Economy, Innovation and Technology.
The plenary session was opened by PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Clara-Alexandra Volintiru, State Secretary with the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Ricardo Guerra de Araujo, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Romania. During May 15-17, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, participated in the works of the National Council of Rectors - CNR, hosted by the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, on the occasion of the latter's 35th Anniversary.
During the celebratory event, Prof. Istudor conveyed a congratulatory message and an anniversary plaque on behalf of the management teams of CNR and ASE, for the contribution of the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia to the development of Romanian higher education and to the consolidation of national and international academic dialogue.

On May 15, 2026, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, ASE's Vice-rector for International relations, received a delegation consisting of 29 rectors and representatives of higher education institutions from Tunisia, who were visiting Bucharest. During the meeting, discussions focused on the strategic development directions of our university, the current challenges of the internationalization process and the opportunities for expanding academic and scientific cooperation at the international level.

On May 14, 2026, ASE received the official visit of ANC - the National Research Authority, whose members were welcomed by ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and by PhD Prof. Alina-Mihaela Dima, Vice-rector for Scientific research, development and innovation.
The program included meetings with the Vice-rectors and members of the Board of Trustees, as well as discussions with the Deputy-deans for research, Heads of departments and research centers, heads of laboratories, researchers and representatives of institutional structures dedicated to ethics, quality and research strategy. During the visit, the ANC delegation also analyzed the infrastructure dedicated to research activities, having the opportunity to learn about the resources made available to the academic and scientific community of ASE.

During May 13-17, 2026, a group of 20 students of ASE's MBA Energy program participated in a study trip to the Republic of Moldova, coordinated by PhD Prof. Cristian Busu, Vice-rector for Economic and Financial Management, member of the program's teaching staff.
The academic and professional agenda included a series of meetings with institutions and organizations relevant to the energy and regional economy fields: representatives of the Premier Energy company, Ms. Anca Dragu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova and associate professor of the MBA Energy program at ASE.

On Monday, April 20, 2026, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the Financial Education Forum, an event held under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, which brought together institutional leaders from the financial sector, public administration and academia.
The event took place in the context of Financial Education Day and continues a national initiative to consolidate financial culture, initiated in 2022, in partnership with key institutions of the financial system. This year's topic was "Financial education: the cohesion interface between providers and users of financial products", which highlighted the role of financial education in the molding of a responsible society adapted to the new economic realities. The forum brought to the fore an essential dimension of the university's mission: the molding of future decision-makers and professionals of the financial market, capable of interacting with an increasingly informed and demanding consumer. The agenda included two panels dedicated to: the educational ecosystem in financial education, and the role of technology in developing financial skills.

During April 7-9, 2026, ASE's Delegation led by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and comprising PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and PhD Prof. Silvia Elena Iacob, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Business Communication, participated in the 11th EURIE Eurasia Higher Education Summit, held in Istanbul.
This year's topic of the summit was "Embracing Innovation and Co-creation in Higher Education", and it brought together leaders of the global academic environment. During the inaugural session, speeches were delivered by representatives from Turkey, China, Pakistan, Germany and Egypt, as well as Times Higher Education.
ASE participated in the Study in Romania national pavilion, together with other universities from Romania and the president of the National Council of Rectors, PhD Prof. Sorin Cimpeanu. ASE's presence at EURIE reconfirms the university's commitment to internationalization, strategic academic partnerships, and connection to the global dynamics of higher education.
ASE's delegation's program included participation in the launch session of the project entitled "Building Euro-Arab-Euroasian Higher Education Corridor" on April 8. Against this background, five partnership agreements were signed, following the initiative of foreign universities, reflecting their interest in developing solid collaborations with ASE: with Green International University, the University of Faisalabad and Riphah International University (Pakistan), Halic University and Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey).
Moreover, ASE's delegation also participating in meetings with Kathleen D. On March 21, 2026, ASE's team participated in the National University Karate Championship, a competition which brought together students from 19 universities from across the country. ASE's team obtained bronze medals, won by Bianca-Alina Dumitru, Cosmin Chivu, Bianca Nedelea. Team members with notable participation: Maria Erika Sersea and Alexandru Susanu. On March 16, 2026, ASE's Rector participated in the official launch of OECD Economic Surveys: Romania 2026, published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The event was hosted by the Victoria Palace, in the presence of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, and OECD General Secretary Mathias Cormann. The event was attended by representatives of the authorities and public institutions involved in the writing of the study, along with representatives of the business environment, trade union organizations, academia and civil society. On March 12, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, received the visit of the Ambassador of the Tunisian Republic in Bucharest, HE Mr. Sami Nagga, for a dialogue dedicated to strengthening academic cooperation. The Tunisian ambassador thanked ASE's management team for supporting the 112 Tunisian students enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's programs at our university. Discussions focused on continuing the partnership with ENA Tunis and expanding collaboration with Tunisian universities. During March 6-8, 2026, the National University Chess Championship was hosted by the West University of Timisoara, which brought together the best male and female chess players in universities from across the country.
ASE's team ranked first for the third consecutive year, which also means they are to represent Romania in the European University Chess Championship.

On March 5, 2026, ASE received a visit from the communication directors of Erste Group, representing several countries in the region: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland and Hungary. During the visit, Erste Group representatives from these countries participated in a working meeting organized in ASE's ZBOR Room, an ecosystem created by BCR for young people. Discussions focused on exchange of experiences and joint initiatives for the development of relations between the university and the financial-banking sector in the region.

By modernizing and consolidating the respective building, ASE will offer a state-of-the-art teaching infrastructure, where the safety of the building combines with a learning environment optimized for academic performance.
