- Reunion of the National Council of Rectors
On October 22-25, 2025, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector and Vice-President of the National Council of Rectors (CNR), participates in the joint reunion of the Romanian CNR and the CNR of the Republic of Moldova. The event is organized in Chisinau (on October 22-23) by the "Nicolae Testemitanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy from the Republic of Moldova, and in Iasi (on October 24-25) by the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi.

On October 16, 2025, ASE hosted the launch event of the program ZF Student - ASE Edition, organized by the Ziarul Financiar for Gen Z youth, future leaders of Romanian economy. The event brought together academics and students, in a dialogue about education, artificial intelligence, research, economy and the future of professions.

On October 16-19, 2025, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International relations, participated in the reunion of the Institutional Council of the Society for International Comparative Policy Analysis (ICPA) and the Annual Conference of the Asian Association for Public Administration in Beijing, China. Prof. Profiroiu contributed to the conference with the paper entitled "Towards a Comparative Understanding of Resilience in EU Public Administration", and moderates the panel dedicated to "Public Service Delivery and Social Policy".
During his visit, Prof. Profiroiu met with Prof. Xufeng Zhu, Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management from Tsinghua University, a prominent Chinese university, the event organizer. During discussions, it was agreed to develop a cooperation agreement on comparative public policies, and the exchange of academic staff and Doctoral students.

On October 14, 2025, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector received the visit of His Excellency Mohammed Moustafa Orfy, the new Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Romania. During the discussions, emphasis was laid on the remarkable results of the inter-university collaboration between higher education institutions in Egypt and Romania. Moreover, the possibility of establishing a branch of ASE in Cairo was addressed.

On October 10, 2025, ASE participated in the meeting of the Sustainable Development Working Group within the Black Sea Universities Network. The University was represented at the event by PhD Prof. Mihaela Alina Dima, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Development and Innovation, and PhD Assistant Prof. Elena Preda, Director of ASE's Sustainable Development Research Center. Participants from several partner universities presented their work on sustainable development within their universities, including internal programs, projects, and initiatives. On October 9-11, 2025, ASE hosted the second edition of the International Conference on Economics - Challenges and Opportunities - ICECO, a large event organized by ASE's Doctoral Schools, at the initiative of the Doctoral School in Economics II. For the event, 207 full-length papers were received, which shows participants' increased interest in academic research and interdisciplinary dialogue. On October 9-10, 2025, ASE's Faculty of Business and Tourism organized the tenth edition of the International Conference CACTUS - Contemporary Approaches and Challenges of Tourism Sustainability. On September 29, 2025, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies organized the Opening ceremonies for the 2025-2026 academic year, attended by the management team, academic staff members, students and special guests.
The University's management team extended a warm welcome to the new students and wished them success in their new educational journey. At the same time, they reaffirmed the University's commitment to promoting academic excellence and training professionals who are capable of responding to the dynamics of the labor market.
During the celebration, ASE's management rewarded educational performance by awarding diplomas of merit to students admitted with the highest averages to each Faculty of our University, as well as to representatives of pre-university education institutions, for their remarkable contribution to the molding of high-school graduates who became ASE's students. On this occasion, the active and sustained partnership between pre-university and university education was emphasized.

On September 26, 2025, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to PhD Prof. Gheorghe Hurduzeu, President of ASE's University's Senate, as a token of appreciation for the exceptional results he has achieved in the field of education and scientific research. The ceremony was part of the celebratory events dedicated to ASEM's Day and the 29th International Scientific Conference "Competitiveness and Innovation in the Knowledge Economy". On September 2, 2025, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, and PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector for International relations, received the visit of an official delegation from The Egyptian Academy of Computers, Information and Management Technology (Tanta, Egypt), led by Prof. Ahmed Khamis, President of the institution.
The meeting resulted in the signing of memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at strengthening academic and research relations between the two institutions. The agreement provides for exchanges of academic staff and students, the undertaking of joint scientific projects, double degree Master's study programs, cooperation in the field of Doctoral studies, the organization of seminars, workshops and other academic activities of common interest. On July 4, ASE's Aula Magna hosted a festive event dedicated to the "Penitentiary Administration Personnel Day". The event brought together members of the National Penitentiary Administration management, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, partner institutions and non-governmental organizations, academics, active or reserve personnel from the penitentiary administration system, as well as representatives of trade union organizations.
During his address, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Radu Marinescu, highlighted the fundamental role of penitentiary administration personnel in the functioning of the justice system and in strengthening citizens' trust in institutions with responsibilities in the field of public order and safety. On April 9, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch event for Saro - the first motivational AI in the field of public education. The event reunited 200 participants, among which we mention: the Minister of Education and Research, PhD Prof. Psych. Daniel David, PhD Prof. Dorel Paraschiv, ASE's Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, Elisabeta Moraru, Country Director Google Romania, representatives of the academic and business environments. More than 100 students from ASE's Faculty of Marketing have already expressed their agreement to interact with Saro, and the initial feedback indicates a large interest in this application. At Faculty level, a mixed student-teacher working group has been put in place, to track and analyze the impact of implementing Saro, under the supervision of the Dean, PhD Prof. Ioana Cecilia Popescu, and Deputy-dean PhD Prof. Mihai Ioan Rosca. The initiative aims to reduce the university dropout rate, increase student satisfaction and provide personalized support, through artificial intelligence, for up to 1000 students. - ASE and BRD inaugurated a new educational hub
On March 26, 2025, ASE and BRD Groupe Societe Generale inaugurated a new educational hub in the Virgil Madgearu Building, headquarters of the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics. This co-working and co-learning space is part of the BRD HUBs network, and is intended for students who want to participate in educational events or collaborate on topics such as career, technology, finance, sustainability or entrepreneurship. On February 14-23, 2025, the National Individual Classical Chess Championships were held in Craiova. CSU ASE's players obtained remarkable results - David Gavrilescu is the national men's champion (for the first time in his career) and has qualified for the Grand Chess Tour International Circuit, while Luminta Cosma is the national women's champion (for the fourth time in her career) and a member of Romania's chess Olympiad team. The National Robotics Team of Romania was ranked First and obtained the Excellence Award at the Kuwait National Robotics Competition, held on February 8-9, 2025. On February 5-6, 2025, ASE's Student Entrepreneurial Society (SAS ASE) organized the workshop entitled "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: From vision to action", which benefited from the participation of international trainer Daniela Marzavan and the new SAS team, led by PhD Assistant prof. Stere Stamule. 27 academics from ASE actively participated in the two Design-Thinking sessions and elected the SAS experts and mentors' team for the current year. On February 10, 2025, ASE announces the launch of the S.T.E.P. project - Supporting Talent through Visionary Education. The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) through the Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027, and aims to create an institutional framework that facilitates equal and informed access to higher education for young people at risk. The project aims to assist young high school students through intensive preparation for the Baccalaureate exam, counseling and mentoring, to facilitate transition to university studies; moreover, at university level, the project aims to facilitate mentoring provided by graduates, business representatives and employers, so as to contribute to an easier integration of students into the academic environment and the labor market. - Launch of research study
On February 6, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch of the research study entitled "The Romanian tax system: prosperity, convergence and fiscal and budget sustainability", undertaken by a team of academics following the request of the Concordia Employers' Confederation. The study aims to evaluate the impact of the flat tax rate on the evolution of the Romanian economy, from its adoption to the present, and the need to develop several scenarios for adjusting this rate, in the context of public discussions about the reform of the tax system.
