  2. ASE and BRD inaugurated a new educational hub
    On March 26, 2025, ASE and BRD Groupe Societe Generale inaugurated a new educational hub in the Virgil Madgearu Building, headquarters of the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics. This co-working and co-learning space is part of the BRD HUBs network, and is intended for students who want to participate in educational events or collaborate on topics such as career, technology, finance, sustainability or entrepreneurship. The hub, with a capacity of over 100 users, offers free wireless internet access. The project strengthens the partnership between ASE and BRD, supporting the professional development of young people.   3. Book launch in ASE
    On March 26, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the book launch event for the autobiographical volume entitled "HAGI. DRUMUL MEU" [Hagi. My Way]. Renowned footballer Gheorghe Hagi, ASE Alumnus, was celebrated during this festive event dedicated to sports excellence and internationally recognized Romanian football players.   4. Free of charge Courses in Macroeconomics
    ASE's Board of Trustees offers students supplementary free-of-charge classes in Macroeconomics, throughout the second semester of the current academic year. Classes are organized online on the University's educational platform from March to May.
  5. ASE's participation in the APAIE 2025 Conference in Delhi, India
    On March 24-28, 2025, a Delegation from ASE participates in the APAIE 2025 Conference in Delhi, India, under the aegis of the Study in Romania program. This year's topic is "Cultivating Global Citizens for the Future: The Higher Education Imperative in the Asia Pacific and Beyond". The event aims to facilitate dialogue on internationalization, interculturalization, and the changing demands of education in the 21st century.

  6. The 19th edition of the International Conference on Business Excellence
    On March 20-22, 2025, the 19th International Conference on Business Excellence, was organized by the Society for Business Excellence and ASE's Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) in partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Economics, the Faculty of International Economic Relations, the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics, the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems. The event was opened by PhD Prof. Alina Mihaela Dima, ASE's Vice-rector for Scientific research, development and innovation, PhD Prof. Tanase Stamule, Dean of FABIZ, and Mihail Busu - Conference Chair, FABIZ.   11. ASE in QS World University Rankings 2025
    The Bucharest University of Economic Studies has climbed in the QS World University Rankings 2025 as compared to the 2024 edition, in the field of Social Sciences and Management, as follows: it is now ranked 351 - 400th overall in Economics and Econometrics, as compared to 401 - 450th in the previous edition, and 501- 550th in Business and Management, as compared to 601 - 620th last year.   12. Seminar entitled "Choose Consciously: Drug Myths and Facts"
    On March 10, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted an impactful drug awareness event. Speaker: PhD Prof. Radu Tincu, ICU physician and toxicologist, European expert in addictions. The event was opened by PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, who emphasized the need for correct youth education in the field.     On March 7, 2025, the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu granted the Honorary Title of Doctor Honoris Causa to PhD Prof. Ion Popa, Dean of ASE's Faculty of Management, as a token of appreciation for the exceptional results obtained in his academic and research activity.   14. ASE's Rector - working visit at the University's headquarters in Deva
    On March 6, 2025, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, went on a visit to the University's local headquarters in Deva, which offers distance learning Bachelor's study programs. During the visit, ASE's Rector examined the status of the consolidation and renovation works, and had a working meeting with Mr. Lucian Ioan Rus, Mayor of the Municipality of Deva. Discussions revolved around aspects such as: cooperation between ASE and local authorities for the development of local public administration, the professional development in the Deva-Hunedoara area, the consolidation of academic presence in the region, so as to meaningfully engage in the progress of the local community.   15. Launch of RO-SCUD Program
    On March 5, 2025, the Carol I Reading Room of the Central University Library hosted the launch of the Romanian Program Science - Culture - Diplomacy RO-SCUD). The program is initiated by the Romanian Academy of Scientists, together with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theatre and Cinematography, and addresses Science, Culture and Diplomacy as factors of Romania's sustainable development, with the complex support of new technologies and cooperation in the European and international space.     On March 5, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch of the study entitled "Money transparency in the Romanian medical system", undertaken by a team of academics and experts from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, as part of a research project, at the initiative of the REGINA MARIA Private Healthcare Network.
  17. Meeting with Erasmus+ BIP participants
    On March 3, 2025, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, ASE's Vice-rector for International Relations, met with ca 100 students and academics from Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, Lithuania, Georgia and South Africa, visiting ASE as part of an Erasmus+ BIP Program.   18. ASE's team wins the National Competition at the CFA Institute Research Challenge
    The team of ASE's Faculty of Finance and Banking ranked First at the National Competition, part of the CFA Institute Research Challenge. Team members: Andrei Nicolae, Andreea Popov, and Alexander Ragea (3rd year Bachelor's students), Luca Vasile (2nd year Master's student), Teodor Miron (1st year Master's student), coordinated by PhD Prof. Radu Ciobanu, Razvan Lefter (CFA mentor) and Catalina Ioana Toader (research assistant).   1. AFER General Assembly
    On February 28, 2025, the General Assembly of the Association of Faculties of Economics from Romania (AFER) was hosted by ASE at its "Ion Gh. Rosca" Training Center Complex in Predeal. The agenda included: discussions on and approval of the AFER Annual Report for January-December 2024, and various other reports, the membership application of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering and Management from the Politehnica University. Moreover, the agenda also included the elections for AFER management positions for the 2025-2029 term of office - the Academic Council (17 members), and the Audit Committee (3 members).   2. Official visit of ASE's representatives at the residence of H.E. Mr. KATAE Takashi, Ambassador of Japan in Romania
    On February 26, 2025, ASE's Delegation, led by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, paid an official visit to the residence of H.E. Mr. KATAE Takashi, Ambassador of Japan to Romania. The meeting aimed to help consolidate academic and diplomatic relations between ASE and higher education institutions from Japan, with discussions focusing on the consolidation of ASE's Center for Japanese Studies, identification of education and research cooperation opportunities for students and academic staff members, as well as the development of relations with the Japanese business environment.   4. ASE's participation in the National Conference entitled "RO 3.0 Human Revolution"
    On February 25, 2025, PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, participated with a group of students from ASE in the National Conference entitled "RO 3.0 HUMAN REVOLUTION - Challenges and solutions for the labor market in Romania 2025", organized by Antena 3 CNN. The event brought together human resources specialists, economists, consultants, business representatives, line ministers and representatives of prestigious universities, who debated on the fiscal and budgetary challenges impacting the Romanian labor market in 2025, as well as the solutions needed to adapt to the new economic realities.   5. Congratulations to all colleagues who passed the public recruitment exams for academic positions!
    On February 24, 2025, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, and other members of the Board of Trustees, congratulated the colleagues who passed the public recruitment exams at the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Out of them, 10 became Professors, 7 - Associate professors, 13 - Assistant professors and 13 - Teaching Assistants.   6. Official visit of Japanese students from the University of Hyogo to ASE
    On February 24, 2025, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International Relations, received the visit of a group of 14 students and accompanying academics from the University of Hyogo, Japan, with which ASE undertakes numerous joint programs and which has opened a satellite office in ASE. The program of the three-day visit includes various activities with ASE's students enrolled for Japanese language and culture classes, as well as students enrolled in the Bachelor's program on Applied Modern Languages organized by the Faculty of International Business and Economics.   7. Sports results
    On February 14-23, 2025, the National Individual Classical Chess Championships were held in Craiova. CSU ASE's players obtained remarkable results - David Gavrilescu is the national men's champion (for the first time in his career) and has qualified for the Grand Chess Tour International Circuit, while Luminta Cosma is the national women's champion (for the fourth time in her career) and a member of Romania's chess Olympiad team.   8. ASE at the Meta Career University Fair 2025
    On February 13, 2025, ASE was represented at the Meta Career University Fair 2025 by Ms. Ioana Vasilachi, from the Marketing and Communication Office, and Doctoral student Edi Dumitra, research assistant at the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics. The Fair was organized at the International Computer High School of Bucharest (ICHB) and the International School of Bucharest. ASE's representatives offered participants information on 2025 Bachelor's Admission procedures, study facilities and professional opportunities.   9. ASE at the "Quo Vadis 2025!" Conference
    On February 13, 2025, ASE was represented by PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, in the "Quo Vadis 2025!" Conference, organized by the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) and DC Media Group, with The Financial Supervision Authority (ASF) acting as institutional partner. The topic of this 7th edition was "Future Trends: Artificial Intelligence in Insurance". Prof. Paraschiv was a keynote speaker for the plenary session. Discussions focused on topics such as: the impact of artificial intelligence on customer relationship management in insurance companies, developments and trends in organizational culture under the impact of new technologies, upskilling in the learning process, and strengthening the partnership with the business environment.   10. Digitalization of professional internships in ASE
    On February 12, 2025, a working meeting was held dedicated to the presentation of ASE's professional internship platform, an innovative project aimed at digitalizing and streamlining the specialized professional practice for students.
    The event was attended by PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv - vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, PhD Prof. Paul Pocatilu - Vice-rector for the Development of IT infrastructure and logistics, the Deans of ASE's Faculties, the Deputy-deans in charge with Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, as well as Chess Coders - the development team for the application.
    This initiative is supported by KPMG, through ASE's Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, and its main objective is to assist with the modernization and simplification of the professional internship process, offering students, professors and internship partners an intuitive and efficient digital tool. The new platform facilitates the management of all aspects of professional practice, from identifying relevant opportunities to monitoring progress, thus reducing administrative burdens and improving the user experience.
    With this digital solution, ASE takes an important step towards integrating technology into the educational process, strengthening the connection between academia and business, and supporting students in developing the skills necessary for a successful career. Photo gallery...
  11. Deloitte Gala Romania Best Managed Companies
    On February 12, 2025, the 3rd Deloitte Gala Romania Best Managed Companies held in the Bragadiru Palace reunited representatives of more than 30 companies. Six of the latter were newly certified, while 14 were recertified.
    ASE was represented at the vent by PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students, who acted as a member of the jury who evaluated the companies and decided on the winners, according to a methodology based on criteria such as strategy, resources and innovation, culture and commitment, governance and finance.   12. Guided tours of ASE
    On February 10-11, 2025, high schools pupils and teachers from the "Iulia Zamfirescu" Theoretical High School in Mioveni and the "Dante Alighieri" Theoretical High School in Bucharest visited ASE to find out more about the University's Educational Offer and the Admission process. Visitors were welcomed by representatives of the Marketing and Communication Office, who answered all queries and offered plenty of details in our Bachelor's programs, admission procedures, study and professional opportunities, and accompanied guests on a campus tour.   13. Excellence Award
    The National Robotics Team of Romania was ranked First and obtained the Excellence Award at the Kuwait National Robotics Competition, held on February 8-9, 2025. The Romanian team thus qualified for the college and university competition, affiliated to ASE, at the largest and most prestigious robotics competition - the World Robotics Championship, which is to be held in Dallas, USA, in May. The team coordinated by PhD Teaching assistant Ionut Panea, ASE's Faculty of Finance and Banking, obtained the highest scores and decisive victories in the February competition.   14. Workshop on "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: From vision to action"
    On February 5-6, 2025, ASE's Student Entrepreneurial Society (SAS ASE) organized the workshop entitled "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: From vision to action", which benefited from the participation of international trainer Daniela Marzavan and the new SAS team, led by PhD Assistant prof. Stere Stamule. 27 academics from ASE actively participated in the two Design-Thinking sessions and elected the SAS experts and mentors' team for the current year. The workshop followed the Quadruple Helix Model of Regional Innovation, with participants benefitting from people-centered design principles to learn and apply a methodology that stimulates innovation and turns ideas into solutions.   15. Launch of S.T.E.P. Project
    On February 10, 2025, ASE announces the launch of the S.T.E.P. project - Supporting Talent through Visionary Education. The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) through the Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027, and aims to create an institutional framework that facilitates equal and informed access to higher education for young people at risk. The project aims to assist young high school students through intensive preparation for the Baccalaureate exam, counseling and mentoring, to facilitate transition to university studies; moreover, at university level, the project aims to facilitate mentoring provided by graduates, business representatives and employers, so as to contribute to an easier integration of students into the academic environment and the labor market.
  16. Launch of research study
    On February 6, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch of the research study entitled "The Romanian tax system: prosperity, convergence and fiscal and budget sustainability", undertaken by a team of academics following the request of the Concordia Employers' Confederation. The study aims to evaluate the impact of the flat tax rate on the evolution of the Romanian economy, from its adoption to the present, and the need to develop several scenarios for adjusting this rate, in the context of public discussions about the reform of the tax system.   2. 2025 Admission to ASE Campaign
    During January 27 - 31, ASE organized the 2025 Admission to ASE Campaign, during which representatives of the Marketing and Communication Office visited 30 colleges and high schools in Bucharest. During the meetings with the high school students and their teachers, ASE's representatives presented details on the Admission contest and the Bachelor's educational offer for the 2025 Admission contest, and also distributed informative materials to support future candidates at ASE.   4. Emerge Romania Workshop
    On January 20, 2025, ASE's Virgil Madgearu Room hosted the workshop entitled "Developing energy communities in Romania", part of the project entitled EMpowering Communities for EneRGy Transition towards Carbon NEutrality in Romania EMERGE - Romania, launched in September 2024, when ASE initiated the first research endeavors in Romania dedicated to energy communities, as part of a joint Romanian-Norwegian consortium. The Project is undertaken with the support of EEA and Norway Grants, within the program for Funds for Bilateral Relations, EEA and Norway Grants for Romania. The event was opened by PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, and benefited from the participation of H.E.   5. Project launch conference
    On January 20, 2025, ASE hosted the launch conference of the project entitled ECO-SUCCES - Advanced internship program dedicated to future professionals in the economic field, code 317010, co-financed by the European Union's Education and Employment Operational program 2021-2027. The project aims to connect students with the current demands of the labor market, offering relevant hands on experiences and a vision of the green economy and sustainable entrepreneurship.   7. Book Launch event
    On January 13-17, 2025, ASE's Publishing House participates in the Book Fair organized by the "Gheorghe Lazar" National College, on the occasion of the latter's 165th Anniversary. On January 16, starting 12.00h, the College's Amphitheater hosts the book launch event for the volume entitled "Educatia financiara de la stiinta la viata de zi cu zi" [Financial Education from Science to Everyday Life], coordinated by PhD Prof. Andreea Stoian.
