  1. ENPA Inaugural Conference 2026
    On April 22-25, 2026, ASE is the main academic partner and host of the ENPA Inaugural Conference 2026 "Shaping the future of public administration in Europe together". The conference is co-organized by ENPA - the European Network of Public Administration, a new independent and member-led association in the field of public administration, public management, public policy, and public governance - and ASE's Faculty of Administration and Public Management. The program of this large-scale event includes the works of the ENPA Doctoral Seminar, panels organized by research groups, as well as Thematic Panels.   2. The President of Romania participates in the Financial Education Forum organized by ASE
    On Monday, April 20, 2026, ASE's Aula Magna hosts the Financial Education Forum, an event held under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, which brings together institutional leaders from the financial sector, public administration and academia.
    The event takes place in the context of Financial Education Day and continues a national initiative to consolidate financial culture, initiated in 2022, in partnership with key institutions of the financial system. This year's topic is "Financial education: the cohesion interface between providers and users of financial products", which highlights the role of financial education in the molding of a responsible society adapted to the new economic realities. The forum brings to the fore an essential dimension of the university's mission: the molding of future decision-makers and professionals of the financial market, capable of interacting with an increasingly informed and demanding consumer. The agenda includes two panels dedicated to: the educational ecosystem in financial education, and the role of technology in developing financial skills.
    The event is organized by ASE, in partnership with the National Bank of Romania, the Financial Supervisory Authority and the Romanian Banking Association.
  3. ASE's Rector's presence in the 35th Anniversary of the Romanian-American University
    On April 16, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, participated in the events dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Romanian-American University (URA). The event brought together senior diplomats, representatives of the academic body and of the URA community. During the anniversary ceremony, Prof. Istudor delivered a congratulatory message both on behalf of ASE's academic community and on behalf of the National Council of Rectors. Moreover, as a sign of appreciation and recognition, Prof. Istudor offered an anniversary trophy to the URA management team on behalf of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Photo gallery...
  4. ASE's presence in EURIE 2026
    During April 7-9, 2026, ASE's Delegation led by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and comprising PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and PhD Prof. Silvia Elena Iacob, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Business Communication, participated in the 11th EURIE Eurasia Higher Education Summit, held in Istanbul.
    This year's topic of the summit was "Embracing Innovation and Co-creation in Higher Education", and it brought together leaders of the global academic environment. During the inaugural session, speeches were delivered by representatives from Turkey, China, Pakistan, Germany and Egypt, as well as Times Higher Education.
    ASE participated in the Study in Romania national pavilion, together with other universities from Romania and the president of the National Council of Rectors, PhD Prof. Sorin Cimpeanu. ASE's presence at EURIE reconfirms the university's commitment to internationalization, strategic academic partnerships, and connection to the global dynamics of higher education.
    ASE's delegation's program included participation in the launch session of the project entitled "Building Euro-Arab-Euroasian Higher Education Corridor" on April 8. Against this background, five partnership agreements were signed, following the initiative of foreign universities, reflecting their interest in developing solid collaborations with ASE: with Green International University, the University of Faisalabad and Riphah International University (Pakistan), Halic University and Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey).
    Moreover, ASE's delegation also participating in meetings with Kathleen D. Kennedy, Executive Director of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, to explore the launch of a joint artificial intelligence project between MIT and ASE, and with the management team of Times Higher Education, with discussions focusing on the evolution of cooperation between ASE and THE, and the initiative regarding the new THE Impact Rating.     ASE's Board of Trustees offers students supplementary free-of-charge classes in Macroeconomics, throughout the second semester of the current academic year. Classes are organized online on the University's educational platform from March to May.

  4. Inauguration of a modern traineeship center
    On March 23, 2026, ASE inaugurated a multifunctional room in its Building from 7 Piata Romana - this modern traineeship center is targeted at students from the Faculty of Law, who are now able to transform theory into experience and bring law closer to reality in this modern, flexible space, through mock trials, legal clinic, forensic activities, specialized practice, law circles. The inaugural event was attended by ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, PhD Associate prof. Ovidiu Ioan Dumitru, the Deputy-dean for Liaison with Students and the Economic and Social Environment, PhD Associate prof.   5. Partnership agreement between ASE and CNDR
    On March 23, 2026, ASE - represented by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and the Romanian National Disability Council (CNDR) - represented by President Daniela Tontsch, signed a Partnership Agreement for institutional collaboration with strategic relevance in the field of inclusive education and sustainable development. The central objective of the partnership is the development and consolidation of joint initiatives dedicated to facilitating equitable access to education, by implementing specific programs, support measures and instruments adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.   6. AutoVortex Romania - ASE, double winner at the Andorra European Open
    The AutoVortex Romania - ASE robotics team achieved remarkable results in this year's edition of the Andorra European Open, one of the most prestigious competitions in the field at European level, held during March 21 - 22, 2026. The team ranked first with both robots entered in the competition, consolidating the institution's position on the map of international technological excellence. The team was made up of four elite students, coordinated by PhD Assoc. prof. Ionut Panea, from ASE's Faculty of Finance and Banking. The result obtained in Andorra represents the preliminary stage for the team's participation in the global phase of the competition: the VEX Robotics World Championship, which will take place in the United States of America.   7. Sports achievements
    On March 21, 2026, ASE's team participated in the National University Karate Championship, a competition which brought together students from 19 universities from across the country. ASE's team obtained bronze medals, won by Bianca-Alina Dumitru, Cosmin Chivu, Bianca Nedelea. Team members with notable participation: Maria Erika Sersea and Alexandru Susanu. The participation and the performances obtained confirm the sporting and competitive value of our students in university sports.   8. ASE - part of the dialogue on the future of economy
    On March 16, 2026, ASE's Rector participated in the official launch of OECD Economic Surveys: Romania 2026, published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The event was hosted by the Victoria Palace, in the presence of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, and OECD General Secretary Mathias Cormann.
    The event was attended by representatives of the authorities and public institutions involved in the writing of the study, along with representatives of the business environment, trade union organizations, academia and civil society. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the main directions for stimulating economic growth, with an emphasis on strengthening a resilient, inclusive and sustainable business environment.   9. ASE's Rector's meeting with the Tunisian Ambassador in Bucharest
    On March 12, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, received the visit of the Ambassador of the Tunisian Republic in Bucharest, HE Mr. Sami Nagga, for a dialogue dedicated to strengthening academic cooperation. The Tunisian ambassador thanked ASE's management team for supporting the 112 Tunisian students enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's programs at our university. Discussions focused on continuing the partnership with ENA Tunis and expanding collaboration with Tunisian universities. Along these lines, in April, ASE is to receive a delegation of professors from Tunisia, with a view to signing new cooperation agreements.   10. Dialogue on the future of universities in Romania
    On March 11, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, participated in the meeting of the National Council of Rectors, in the presence of the new Minister of Education and Research, PhD Prof. Mihai Dimian. Discussions focused on the main topics of interest for the university system, the financing prospects for education and research, in the context of the draft budget for the current year. Romanian universities emphasized the importance of adequate financing for education, essential for supporting academic performance and research, and the training of human capital.   11. ASE at the Gaudeamus Craiova Book Fair
    During March 11-15, 2026, ASE's Publishing House participates in the Gaudeamus Craiova Book Fair, organized at the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre. ASE's Publishing House organizes several editorial events - book launches dedicated to the latest research directions in the economic field - Economics and Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, and Taxation.
    Moreover, the stand of ASE's Publishing House welcomes visitors from among high school students from Craiova, interesting in finding out more about ASE's educational offer and thee 2026 Admission process.
  12. ASE - National University Chess Champion!
    During March 6-8, 2026, the National University Chess Championship was hosted by the West University of Timisoara, which brought together the best male and female chess players in universities from across the country.
    ASE's team ranked first for the third consecutive year, which also means they are to represent Romania in the European University Chess Championship.
    Moreover, in the rapid chess contest, Alessia-Mihaela Ciolacu and Samuel-Timotei Ghimpu also became national champions, thus preserving the titles won the previous edition. ASE's team members were: Samuel-Timotei Ghimpu, Mihai-Edward Padurariu, Razvan-Catalin Tudoroiu, Sebastian-Stefan Ciobanu, Stefan Danila, Filip-Christian Costache, Alessia-Mihaela Ciolacu, Anamaria Rata, Andreea-Alexandra Schiopu, Alexandra-Ioana Patru and Raluca Moldovanu.

  13. ASE - the place where the university meets the European financial environment
    On March 5, 2026, ASE received a visit from the communication directors of Erste Group, representing several countries in the region: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland and Hungary. During the visit, Erste Group representatives from these countries participated in a working meeting organized in ASE's ZBOR Room, an ecosystem created by BCR for young people. Discussions focused on exchange of experiences and joint initiatives for the development of relations between the university and the financial-banking sector in the region.

  14. Postgraduate program graduation
    A new group of students from the postgraduate program for Customs Experts successfully completed the courses held between January 15 - March 6, 2026. The program is organized by ASE in partnership with the Romanian Customs Authority.   1. ASE's Delegation in Latin America
    At the end of February, ASE's delegation, led by the Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and comprising PhD Prof. Marius Constantin Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International Relations, and PhD Assistant prof. Catalin Ploae, from the International Relations Office, went to Mexico City, on a mission to consolidate the internationalization of our university.
    ASE was among the 13 Romanian universities present at the BMI Mexico City Global Student Fair, under the umbrella of StudyInRomania. ASE's participation means: increasing visibility in Latin America, attracting international students, consolidating ASE's brand as a regional leader in economics and business. The program included visits to Universidad La Salle Mexico, where discussions focused on an Erasmus+ agreement for academic mobility, joint research teams and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding; and the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), where discussions focused on joint research in economics, cooperation in public administration, and initiatives in regional studies.   2. ASE at the APAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition
    During February 23-27, 2026, ASE's Delegation led by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and comprising PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International Relations, and PhD Assistant prof. Catalin Ploae, from the International Relations Office, participates in the APAIE 2026 International Conference and Exhibition, a leading international event dedicated to cooperation in higher education.
    The event is hosted by the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and reunites over 2.00 academic leaders and decision-making factors from over 70 countries, to discuss on the topic entitled "Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good". At APAIE 2026, ASE contributes to the global dialogue on internationalization and academic mobility, the development of new directions of cooperation in education and research, the strengthening of the connection between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
    Moreover, ASE's Delegation has meetings with relevant academic and diplomatic personalities, so as to extend the University's academic partnerships with universities from Hong Kong, Macau, and other countries and regions, offers details on educational issues at the Study in Romania stand, and participates in workshops organized as part of the Conference program.

  3. Brazil-Romania Forum to be organized in ASE
    On January 16, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and Vice-rector for International relations, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, met with Mr. Ronaldo Lima Vieira, representative of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Bucharest, to discuss the details of the organization of the Brazil-Romania Forum for Creative Economy and Innovation, which is to be hosted by ASE in May 2026.   4. Partnership Agreement between ASE and National Health Insurance House (CNAS)
    On January 16, 2026, ASE, represented by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), represented by President, PhD Associate prof. Horatiu-Remus Moldovan, signed a Partnership Agreement, for extended institutional cooperation, to significantly impact education, research and development. The event was attended by PhD Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, ASE's Vice-rector for Liaison with the social and business environment and cooperation with students.
    The main objective of the Partnership is to strengthen the link between the academic environment and the public health insurance system, through joint initiatives that contribute to the professional training of students, the development of applied research and the increase of the institutional capacity of the two organizations. Joint events will be organized - such as conferences, workshops, round tables and debate, while ASE's Bachelor's and Master's students in economics, management, accounting, public finance, economic informatics, statistics or public administration will benefit from training and traineeship opportunities facilitated by CNAS specialists.   5. ASE's Management team's visit to Construction site in the Moxa Campus
    On January 15, 2026, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, accompanied by PhD Prof. Cristian Busu, Vice-rector for Economic and Financial Management, Elena Gaman, General Executive Director, and PhD Prof. Catalin Dobrea - Rector's advisor and manager of the project dedicated to the Consolidation, rehabilitation and modernization of the C2 Building in the Moxa Campus, paid the first working visit this year to the construction site in the Moxa Campus, to monitor the implementation of this investment project.
    By modernizing and consolidating the respective building, ASE will offer a state-of-the-art teaching infrastructure, where the safety of the building combines with a learning environment optimized for academic performance.
    The complexity of the works and their specificity constantly require interventions and improvement actions. ASE students will benefit from modern spaces for specialized training and for the development of sustainable partnerships. Photo gallery...

  7. CSU ASE - the best chess club in Romania in 2025!
    CSU ASE ranked first chess club at the Romanian Chess Gala 2025, hosted by the National Bank of Romania, for having obtained 5 gold medals at the National Team Chess Championships with 6 medals overall, and 4 out of the National Individual Chess Championships with 8 medals overall.
    Moreover, ASE's chess players were ranked on leading positions in individual classifications as well:

    • Elena-Luminita Cosma - ranked 2nd among female chess players
    • Constantin Lupulescu - ranked 2nd among male chess players

  8. Congratulations, AutoVortex ASE!
    The Romanian National Robotics Team - AutoVortex ASE - ranked first with the highest overall score at the VEX Robotics Open Championship held in Turkey at the beginning of January 2026.
