USASE Anniversary Gala
On May 16, 2026, the Students' Union of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies - USASE celebrated 14 years of activity through an Anniversary Gala dedicated to successful projects and the generations of students who defined its identity. The event marked the transformation of the organization into a true community based on team spirit, ambition and personal development. Dumitru Prunariu and other renowned astronauts at ASE
On May 14, 2026, ASE's Aula Magna hosted an exceptional international event, which brought together an elite of space exploration, 45 years after the first space flight of a Romanian citizen. In the foreground was Dumitru Prunariu, the first and only Romanian to reach space, alongside astronauts and experts from around the world, invited to participate in a dialogue about exploration, innovation and the future of humanity. BBS ASE at Chisinau, during BBS Connect Tour 2026
During May 13-17, 2026, a group of 20 students of ASE's MBA Energy program participated in a study trip to the Republic of Moldova, coordinated by PhD Prof. Cristian Busu, Vice-rector for Economic and Financial Management, member of the program's teaching staff.
The academic and professional agenda included a series of meetings with institutions and organizations relevant to the energy and regional economy fields: representatives of the Premier Energy company, Ms. Anca Dragu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova and associate professor of the MBA Energy program at ASE.
As part of the "BBS Connect Tour 2026", the presence of ASE's Bucharest Business School in the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, in Chisinau, was dedicated to promoting the MBA and Executive MBA programs, addressed to professionals interested in leadership, executive development and international management education. The event was coordinated by PhD Prof. Cristian Busu, PhD Associate prof. Ramona Stefania Igret, Deputy-dean, and PhD Assistant prof. Cristina Spirescu, and brought together managers and specialists from banking, energy, insurance and the corporate environment, interested in the academic and professional opportunities offered by BBS ASE. On May 19, 2026, ASE organizes a new edition of its Job & Internship Fair/Forum des Carrieres et de l'Entrepreneuriat, an event dedicated to students and young graduates who want to interact directly with some of the most important employers and partners in the economic environment. Reunion of the National Council of Rectors in Alba Iulia
During May 15-17, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, participated in the works of the National Council of Rectors - CNR, hosted by the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, on the occasion of the latter's 35th Anniversary.
During the celebratory event, Prof. Istudor conveyed a congratulatory message and an anniversary plaque on behalf of the management teams of CNR and ASE, for the contribution of the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia to the development of Romanian higher education and to the consolidation of national and international academic dialogue.
The meeting of the National Council of Rectors brought together representatives of universities from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, along with institutional partners of the higher education system, in a framework dedicated to academic dialogue and university cooperation. Photo gallery...
Academic partnerships between ASE and Universities from Tunisia
On May 15, 2026, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, ASE's Vice-rector for International relations, received a delegation consisting of 29 rectors and representatives of higher education institutions from Tunisia, who were visiting Bucharest. During the meeting, discussions focused on the strategic development directions of our university, the current challenges of the internationalization process and the opportunities for expanding academic and scientific cooperation at the international level.
On this occasion, 10 Memorandums of Understanding were signed between ASE and the following Tunisian universities: the University of Tunis El Manar, University of Jendouba, University of Tunis, University of Gabes, University of Gafsa, Virtual University of Tunis, University of Sfax, University of Sousse, University of Manouba and University of Carthage. ASE visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia
On May 14, 2026, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, and PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International relations, had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Sami Nagga, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Bucharest, as well as with representatives of the University of Sousse, Universite de Carthage and University of Manouba, prestigious higher education institutions in Tunisia, in order to sign three memoranda of understanding.
The agreements create the premises for strengthening international cooperation relations between the partner institutions and support the internationalization process of ASE, by developing academic, scientific and educational collaborations with prestigious universities in Tunisia. Photo gallery...
ASE visited by ANC - the National Research Authority
On May 14, 2026, ASE received the official visit of ANC - the National Research Authority, whose members were welcomed by ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and by PhD Prof. Alina-Mihaela Dima, Vice-rector for Scientific research, development and innovation.
The program included meetings with the Vice-rectors and members of the Board of Trustees, as well as discussions with the Deputy-deans for research, Heads of departments and research centers, heads of laboratories, researchers and representatives of institutional structures dedicated to ethics, quality and research strategy. During the visit, the ANC delegation also analyzed the infrastructure dedicated to research activities, having the opportunity to learn about the resources made available to the academic and scientific community of ASE.
The visit represented an important exercise in institutional dialogue and presentation of the research, development and innovation activity carried out within ASE. Photo gallery...
Conferences organized by ASE's Faculty in May 2026
- May 7 - 8: the 23rd International Conference on Economic Convergence in European Union (ECEU 2026) on the topic of "Fractured Convergence: Geoeconomics, Digital Sovereignty, and Resilience in a Polarized World", organized by ASE's Faculty of Economic and Business Communication - website.
- May 12: the 24th edition on "Enterprise Valuation" organized in ASE's Aula Magna by The National Association of Registered Valuators of Romania (ANEVAR) in cooperation with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies - website.
