The CACTUS 2025 International Conference
On October 9-10, 2025, ASE's Faculty of Business and Tourism organized the tenth edition of the International Conference CACTUS - Contemporary Approaches and Challenges of Tourism Sustainability. The event was opened in the Aula Magna by PhD Prof. Alina Mihaela Dima, Vice-rector for Scientific research, development and innovation, and the plenary address of PhD Prof. Gabriela Tigu, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Tourism. The program included presentations by leading guest speakers: Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu, DHC of ASE, Romania's first and only cosmonaut, Simona Constantinescu, President of The Federation of the Romanian Hotel Industry (FIHR), Robert Komartin, Head of Travel Sellers Central Europe, Amadeus IT Group.

ASE at the ARACIS Anniversary Conference
On October 6-7, 2025, PhD Associate prof. Ionela Costica, Vice-rector for Education, and PhD Prof. Ion Popa, Dean of the Faculty of Management, participate in the International Anniversary Conference organized by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education - ARACIS, held in Brasov. The event celebrates the Agency's 20 years of activity in the field of quality assurance in Romanian higher education and reunites representatives of universities, partner institutions and the national and international academic community. On this occasion, ASE conveyed ARACIS a congratulatory message of appreciation and acknowledgement for the latter's significant contribution to the development of higher education in Romania, and an anniversary plaque, as a token of respect and sustainable partnership. Events
Meeting of Sustainable Development Working Group
On October 10, 2025, ASE participated in the meeting of the Sustainable Development Working Group within the Black Sea Universities Network. The University was represented at the event by PhD Prof. Mihaela Alina Dima, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Development and Innovation, and PhD Assistant Prof. Elena Preda, Director of ASE's Sustainable Development Research Center. Participants from several partner universities presented their work on sustainable development within their universities, including internal programs, projects, and initiatives. Among the topics addressed, we mention education for sustainable development, cultural sustainability and "green" initiatives on university campuses. ASE's involvement in this working group confirms our institution's commitment to integrating research and education with sustainable development practices at international standards. Photo gallery...
ICECO International Conference
On October 9-11, 2025, ASE hosted the second edition of the International Conference on Economics - Challenges and Opportunities - ICECO, a large event organized by ASE's Doctoral Schools, at the initiative of the Doctoral School in Economics II. The event brought together researchers, Doctoral students and academics from various scientific domains. For the event, 207 full-length papers were received, which shows participants' increased interest in academic research and interdisciplinary dialogue. The program included presentations on current topics in academia and economics, supported by prestigious keynote speakers, parallel sections dedicated to various thematic areas, as well as interactive workshops. ASE's visit to the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat
On October 6-10, 2025, a delegation of ASE's University' Senate, led by PhD Prof. Gheorghe Hurduzeu, President of the Senate, performs a visit at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco, for consolidation of academic cooperation.
The program includes exchange of best practices in management and research, discussions on doctoral education and institutional development, participation in scientific seminars, as well as interactive sessions with students on leadership, engagement, representation and academic performance. The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Rabat is ranked 3rd in Africa in the Times Higher Education 2025 ranking and 1st in North Africa, due to its focus on research and innovation.
