Visit to the European Parliament
On November 11, 2025, students and academics from ASE's Faculty of Economics and Business Communication went on a visit to the European Parliament, for a debate on the role of technology in the accelerated transition towards sustainable economy. Discussions revolved around topics such as: the role of artificial intelligence in the green economy, digital skills for the new jobs of the future, public policies, funding and impact for the business environment.

ASE student team - winner of Business Simulation Challenge
On November 6-7, 2025, the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia hosted the international competition "Business Simulation Challenge", an opportunity to turn economic theory into real decisions and practical experiences. Teams of students from various European universities managed virtual companies and made complex managerial decisions - from marketing and production, to financing operations and developing development strategies.
The competition was organized by the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia in partnership with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), with the participation of two foreign experts from the University of Bordeaux, France. Among the participants, we mention 14 universities from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. PhD Prof. Bogdan-Stefan Ionescu acted as a keynote speaker, and supported the team who created the Arkhe platform. ASE's student team ranked first, and it comprised students from the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems: Andrei-Mihai Jianu, Florentin-Eliza Grigore and Andreea Manica, first year Master's students enrolled in the program Accounting, controlling and expertise. Free-of-charge classes of Microeconomics and Mathematics
ASE's Management team supports students by organizing free-of-charge online courses in Microeconomics and Mathematics from October 2025 until January 2026. The classes are available on the institutional blended learning platform.

Reunion of the Universitaria Consortium
On November 13-15, 2025, ASE's Delegation, led by Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, comprising members of the University's management team, participates in the Reunion of the Universitaria Consortium, hosted by the University of Craiova.
The event program, with its thematic panels, provides a framework for dialogue and cooperation between member universities of the Universitaria Consortium, addressing essential topics for the development of Romanian higher education.
Launch of study on "The economic and social impact of addictions among minors in Romania"
On November 10, 2025, ASE's Aula Magna hosted a debate occasioned by the presentation of the research study entitled "The economic and social impact of addictions among minors in Romania". The study was conducted by ASE, following the initiative of the "I Love You" Association and the Romanian Association for Large Families. The key findings addressed aspects such as the human and social costs of addictions among minors (in areas such as medical support, social assistance, justice and public order, education, finance).
The event was attended by PhD Prof. Mihaela Alina Dima, Vice-Rector for Scientific research, development and innovation, PhD Prof. Mihaela Mosora, PhD Associate Prof. Emilia Gogu, Laura Cosoi (founder of the "I Love You" Association), representatives of ministries, officials, public figures, all united in demanding an integrated national strategy to prevent and combat this phenomenon. ASE's Rector, DHC of the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia
On November 7, 2025, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, was conferred the Honorary Title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, in recognition of his prestigious contribution to the field of Economic Sciences and his managerial merits. The event was attended by a large group of representatives of ASE - members of the Board of Trustees, the President of the University's Senate, PhD Prof. Gheorghe Hurduzeu, and academic staff members.
