  1. Congratulations to CSU ASE!
    CSU ASE obtained the Silver Medal at the Snow Volleyball Female Competition, part of the European Universities Winter Sports Championship,. At the end of December 2023, the first edition of the European Universities Winter Sports Championship was held in Val di Zoldo (Italy), organized by the European University Sports Association (EUSA).   5. Academic recognition for ASE's Rector
    On December 8, 2023, ASE's Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor was conferred the Honorary Title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, at the proposal of the Board of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, in recognition of Prof. Istudor's academic and managerial achievements, his professional prestige in the academic world, the results obtained in the development and promotion of Romanian economic education, as well as his active involvement in supporting the development of the Romanian economy.   2. ASE received the "Educatia" award at the Gaudeamus Book Fair
    The Bucharest University of Economic Studies was conferred the Educatia Award at the end of the 30th edition of the Gaudeamus International Book Fair, held in Bucharest between November 22-26, 2023.   7. National Forum of Students in Economics
    On November 17, 2023, ASE's Aula Magna hosts the National Forum of Students in Economics, organized by the Association of Faculties of Economics from Romania, with the support of ASE and the Alumni ASE Association. The event is organized on the occasion of the "International Students' Day", the "Economist's Day" and the "Economics Scholar's Day", against the background of the European Year of Skills.     On November 9, 2023, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the Conferral Ceremony for the Title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Prof. Erich Walter Farkas, University of Zurich, Switzerland, awarded by ASE's University's Senate following the proposal of the Faculty of Finance and Banking.     On November 9, 2023, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch of the volume entitled "In Memoriam: Paul Bran - Reper al renasterii academice" [In Memoriam: Paul Bran - Key figure of academic rebirth]. Part of the collection entitled ASE's Rectors, coordinated by PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, ASE's Rector, and of the anniversary events occasioned by ASE's 110th Anniversary, the volume pays homage to PhD Prof. Paul Bran, founding Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (1991 - 1994), and Rector or ASE (1996-2004), who contributed significantly to the development of economic higher education both in Romania and in the Republic of Moldova.     On November 1, 2023, ASE's academic community celebrated 110 years since the Official opening of lectures at the university, then called the Academy of High Commercial and Industrial Studies!   2. Royal Scholarships for ASE's students
    On October 30, 2023, the Elisabeta Palace hosted the Award Ceremony of Royal Scholarships for students from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian and the Crown of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu, granted for the sixth time scholarships for two prominent students of ASE:
    • The "King Carol I" Scholarship was awarded to Nicolae Stefaniuc, second year student at the Faculty of Administration and Public Management;
    • The "Queen Elisabeta" Scholarship was awarded to Ana Vizitiu, second year student at the Faculty of International Business and Economics.

    On October 24, 2023, ASE's Aula Magna hosted the launch of the Third Leadership School, organized by ASE's Division for Liaison with the business environment in partnership with Carrefour.   13. Conference entitled "Intelligent Romania"
    On October 17, 2023, ASE participated with 25 Bachelor's and Master's students from ASE's Faculty of Agrifood and Environmental Economics in the Conference entitled "Intelligent Romania", on the topic of "Implementation of the warranty-return system (WRS) rights, obligations, education, cooperation and benefits", considered the largest circular economy project in Romania. During the debate, the Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Mr. Mircea Fechet praised ASE for a 2019 study which had a defining role for the elaboration of Romania's WRS public policy.   18. Visit to Luxembourg
    On October 9 - 11, 2023, ASE's Vice-rector for International Relations, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, paid a working visit to Luxembourg.
    • On Monday, October 9, Prof. Profiroiu had a cordial and constructive meeting with Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, Doctor Honoris Causa of our university. The discussions, held in a framework open to a diversified collaboration with ASE, were focused on the role of universities in the European integration process and the support that President Juncker wants to give to our university and to Romania.     • On Tuesday, October 10, Prof. Profiroiu had a working meeting with his counterpart from the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Marie Helene Jobin. On this occasion, it was agreed to start scientific research collaboration in the fields of finance, economics and law at the level of doctoral studies and to sign an Erasmus agreement. Prof. Profiroiu visited the Europe Direct Center of the University of Luxembourg, coordinated by Prof. Elena Danescu, on which occasion it was agreed to disseminate the activities of this center in ASE and to collaborate on various events related to the promotion of the values of the European Union.     On October 5-7, 2-23, the Municipalities of Deva and Hunedoara hosted the Romanian-French International Conference "Sustainable regional development for Hunedoara county".   21. ASE inaugurated a new amphitheater
    On October 3, 2023, ASE inaugurated the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) Amphitheater - Amphitheater 2101, a hall with over 150 seats that was modernized and equipped by the BVB. With an investment of approximately 80,000 euros, the amphitheater in the "Virgil Madgearu" Building offers students and teachers a modern space for teaching activities.     On September 1-3, 2023, the Centre of Japanese Studies from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies organized the 10th edition of the international conference "Japan: Pre-modern, Modern and Contemporary".     Between July 20-28, 2023, the fourth edition of the "Data Science International Summer School" initiated by the International Relations Division of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies is hosted by ASE's "I.Gh.   3. 2023 - ASE's 110th Anniversary
    On April 6, 1913, the first Romanian economic higher education institution was established, under the name of the Academy of High Commercial and Industrial Studies (AISCI), as per a Law proposed by a committee led by Nicolae D. Xenopol, the then Minister of Industry and Commerce. The Law was elaborated by a group of leading Romanian economists, among whom we mention Virgil Madgearu, Victor Slavescu, Ion Angelescu.     On March 6, 2023, PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector of International Relations, received the visit of the academic staff and students comprising the Delegation from the University of Artois, ASE's partner in double degree programs.   9. 2023 - ASE's 110th Anniversary
    On April 6, 1913, the first Romanian economic higher education institution was established, under the name of the Academy of High Commercial and Industrial Studies (AISCI), as per a Law proposed by a committee led by Nicolae D. Xenopol, the then Minister of Industry and Commerce. The Law was elaborated by a group of leading Romanian economists, among whom we mention Virgil Madgearu, Victor Slavescu, Ion Angelescu. The Law was promulgated by King Carol I by means of Royal Decree No. 2978. The Bucharest University of Economic Studies is proud to have performed excellently for 110 years, being a leader of economic higher education in Romania and the region.
